Vendor Basics
What the vendor programme is
Approved suppliers listed for your whole network, what they get, and what your tribes get.
Last updated September 2, 2026
A vendor is an approved supplier to your network — the people who sell your tribes their equipment, materials, software, insurance and services. The vendor programme gives them a listing your tribes can find, and gives you a way to run that relationship properly.
What each side gets
| Your tribes get | The vendor gets |
|---|---|
| A directory of suppliers head office has approved. | A profile in front of your whole network. |
| Products, services and contact details in one place. | The ability to post announcements and offers. |
| Special offers negotiated for the network. | Enquiries from tribes who want to buy. |
| Training materials from the people who make the product. | A relationship that does not depend on cold calling forty tribes. |
And your organisation gets
- Control over who is listed to the network, and at what level.
- Revenue, where vendors pay a subscription to take part.
- Consistency — tribes buying from approved suppliers rather than whoever rang last.
How a vendor comes to be listed
- They register, or you create them.
- They apply to connect to your organisation.
- You accept the application.
- They subscribe to a package, where your programme charges for participation.
- They build out their profile — products, offers, contacts, training.
- Your tribes find them in the directory.
THE VENDOR RUNS THEIR OWN LISTING
Vendor administrators sign in and maintain their own profile, products and announcements. That is the point — a directory head office has to update by hand goes stale within a year.
