Contributors are the people on a project. They can come from your own organisation, or from outside it — an agency, a contractor, a supplier, a client contact.
Adding an external collaborator
Add them with a name and an email address and they are emailed an invitation. They get access to the projects they are on and nothing else — no CRM, no customers, no other projects.
An invitation can be resent if it goes astray, and a contributor removed when their part is finished.
Why this beats emailing files about
- They see the current scope, not the version attached to an email in March.
- Their tasks are in the same list as everyone else's.
- The conversation stays on the project instead of in four inboxes.
- When they leave, you remove them — rather than hoping they delete the files.
What they see
Contributors get a read-only view of the project overview and the people on it, plus their own project area. Be aware that anything you put in the scope, the notes or the constraints is visible to them — including commercial detail you may not have meant to share.
