Your careers website

Putting jobs on your own domain, styling the site, and the DNS step that has to come first.

Recruitment publishes a careers website on a subdomain of your own — something like careers.yourcompany.com — listing your live jobs and taking applications.

Setting the domain

Under Settings, enter your Recruitment Sub Domain. The page then shows you the DNS record to add — a CNAME pointing at Gorilla Dash.

ADD THE DNS RECORD FIRST, THEN WAIT

Gorilla Dash only finishes setting the site up once it can see the CNAME on your domain. If you save the subdomain before your DNS is in place, the site is never configured and the address just fails — with no error shown anywhere in Gorilla Dash. Add the record, then allow up to four hours for the site to come up.

Styling it

Website Content & Design controls the whole look — your logo, toolbar and button colours, banner images and captions, the copy on the submit-resume page, your legal notice and privacy link, and the wording of the emails candidates receive.

OPENING THAT PAGE FILLS IN GORILLA DASH'S OWN COLOURS

The first time you open it with nothing saved, every field is populated with Gorilla Dash defaults — navy and red, with placeholder copy. Save without changing them and your careers site is branded as Gorilla Dash rather than as you. Work through the colours and copy before saving.

Extra pages

Under Website Pages you can add pages beyond the job list — why work here, benefits, your hiring process. Each has a name, a slug, headings, content and images, and can appear in the site's menu.

Where else jobs appear

Live jobs can also be pulled into a tribe's normal Gorilla Dash website, so a tribe site can list its own vacancies.

THERE ARE NO JOB BOARD INTEGRATIONS

Gorilla Dash does not post to Indeed, Seek, LinkedIn or any other board, and there is no feed for them to read. Advertise on those boards separately and link back to your careers site.

The location allowlist

Settings has an Applicant Location Allowlist restricting where candidates can say they want to work. The screen says leaving it empty means no restriction; in practice an empty list restricts candidates to the countries where you currently have live jobs. If you have no live jobs, they have nothing to choose. Set the list explicitly if it matters.
