Bulk uploading a batch of images
Loading a photo shoot or a product set in one go, and the preparation that makes it worth doing.
Last updated September 2, 2026
A photo shoot arrives as a folder of a hundred images. Bulk upload takes the whole set at once and applies the same category and details to everything in it.
Do the naming first
Leave the name blank and the file names are used. That makes renaming the files on your computer before uploading the single highest-value ten minutes in the whole job — "Oak dining table — walnut — front" is searchable, "IMG_2291" is not.
Upload in sets, not one giant batch
Group images that share a category, a product and a set of tags, and upload each group separately. It takes three uploads instead of one and saves editing a hundred records afterwards.
Afterwards
- Check a few records got the category and tags you expected.
- Look for duplicates — the same shot uploaded twice is the most common mess in a shared library.
- Star the handful people will actually use.
- Share them, if the tribes need them.
