How sales reach Gorilla Dash, what counts as one, and why you cannot type one in.

Last updated September 2, 2026

Gorilla Dash does not take your sales — your point of sale does. What Gorilla Dash does is read them in, attach them to tribes and customers, and report on them alongside your marketing.

A tribe is one location, branch or business unit inside your organisation — the word Gorilla Dash uses on every screen.

There is no way to enter a sale by hand

EVERY SALE ARRIVES FROM AN INTEGRATION
There is no "add sale" button anywhere, by design. If a sale is missing from Gorilla Dash it is missing from the connection, and the fix is in the integration or the point of sale — not here. Check the Connection Status Report first.

What connects

Each tribe connects to its own point of sale — among them CoreBridge, CoreBridge EVO, Kosmopos, Antera, Toast, NCR Aloha, Hoops, AIM, Franpos and ezCater. A tribe can have more than one.

Online store orders are counted separately

YOUR ONLINE STORE IS NOT PART OF "SALES"
Orders taken through your Gorilla Dash online store or a branded store are reported in their own figures and are never included in the Sales module. If you are trying to reconcile total trading, you need both.

How a sale finds its tribe

From the connection it arrived on — each connection belongs to one tribe. Orders that arrive without one are reported as Unassigned.

How a sale finds a customer

By matching the email address on the point-of-sale customer to a contact in Gorilla Dash.

A CAUSE OF ODD-LOOKING ATTRIBUTION
Where no email matches, the sale is attached to the first person on that point-of-sale customer record. On a shared company account that can be somebody other than the actual buyer, so a sale occasionally shows against a colleague.

Getting the most out of it

  1. Map your sale statuses so Gorilla Dash knows which ones mean sold.
  2. Map your point-of-sale referral types so sales can be credited to marketing.
  3. Decide which platforms feed the headline graphs.
  4. Read the guide on when numbers update before you compare two reports.
