Why was a lead assigned automatically?
If a lead appears to assign itself to a team member, it’s often because someone acted from the Enquiry Notification Email. Assignments can originate from those emails and are attributed to the user who took the action.

Assignments triggered from Enquiry Notification Emails
If a lead (contact/enquiry) appears to have been assigned to a team member automatically, check whether a recipient acted on the Enquiry Notification Email. Assignments can be triggered directly from those emails. The system records that the lead was assigned from the Enquiry Notification Email and attributes it to the user who performed the action.
What you might see
- An assignment entry noting it was "assigned from the Enquiry Notification Email," along with the name of the user (for example, an admin) who triggered it.
Troubleshooting unexpected assignments
- Confirm with team members who receive enquiry notifications whether anyone acted on the email.
- Review the lead’s assignment details to see which user performed the action and its source.
