Adding a member
Creating the account: linking to a person or a vendor, choosing the tribe, and what happens next.

Go to Members / Subscribers and press Create. The form is titled Create New Member / Subscriber and takes you through it in steps.
What you choose
- Tribe — which location this member belongs to, or leave it blank for an organisation-level member.
- Type — Member or Vendor.
- For a vendor: Link this membership to an existing vendor (with Search Vendors) or Create a new vendor.
- For a member: Link this membership to an existing person or Create a new person.
Linking to an existing person is almost always right — it keeps the membership attached to the contact record your team already uses, rather than creating a second version of the same human being.
The tribe decides where the money goes
Creating the member does not bill anybody
A member is just the account. Nothing is charged until you add a package to it — that is the next step.
Business name
A member can carry a Business Name as well as a person, which is what you want when the paying entity is a company but the contact is an individual. Both are shown in the members list.
