The media selector: picking an image for a post, an email or a page, and choosing the right size.

Last updated September 2, 2026

Wherever Gorilla Dash asks you for a picture — a social post, an email, a web page, a product — you pick it from the Media Library rather than uploading a copy. That is what keeps one image in one place.

Choosing a size

Each image is held in several shapes, and the selector lets you pick the one that fits where it is going.

SizeUse for
SquareSocial posts and profile-style placements.
RectangleMost web and email use.
PortraitStories and tall placements.
BannerWide headers.
ThumbnailSmall previews.
OriginalWhen you need the file as uploaded — and the only sensible choice for a GIF or a PNG with transparency.

Picking the right shape matters more than it sounds: a rectangle squeezed into a square placement is where heads get cropped off.

Jumping to the library

Open in Media Library takes you to the image itself — useful when you need to check its details, or fix something before using it.

THE SELECTOR SHOWS WHAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO USE
A tribe sees its own images plus whatever the organisation has shared with it. If somebody cannot find an image they have been told to use, it has probably not been shared rather than not uploaded.
