Booking a callback or a meeting
Where to book from, where it then shows up, and the difference between a callback and a task.
Last updated September 2, 2026
Every good call ends with the next one booked. There are three places to do it and they all end up in the same view.
| Book from | When |
|---|---|
| The contact or company | You are already looking at the record. |
| The call screen | You are working a call list and just finished a call. |
| The calendar | You are planning a day or a week. |
Where it turns up
- On the CRM calendar.
- In Calls Due Today and Calls This Week on the dashboard.
- On the contact's profile, as part of their history.
- In the call list's follow-ups, when it was booked from a call.
Callback or task?
Book a callback when you have agreed a time with the customer — they are expecting you. Create a task when it is your own work: send the quote, chase the drawings, check with the supplier. The dashboard counts them separately for exactly that reason.
BOOK IT WHILE THEY ARE STILL ON THE PHONE
A callback agreed and entered during the call gets kept. One you mean to enter after lunch competes with everything else that happened after lunch.
