Sales Basics
Estimates, sales, work in progress and completed
The four stages an order moves through, and mapping your own statuses onto them.
Last updated September 2, 2026
Your point of sale has its own status names. Gorilla Dash sorts them into four stages so every tribe reports the same way.
| Stage | Means |
|---|---|
| Estimate | Quoted. Not yet won. |
| Sale | Won. This is the money that counts as revenue. |
| Work in Progress | Sold and being produced. |
| Completed | Finished and delivered. |
They are cumulative rather than exclusive. Work in progress is after the sale, not instead of it — an order in production has already been sold and is counted in your sales figures.
Mapping your statuses
On a tribe, Sales Report Settings — the Settings button on the tribe's sales dashboard, not a menu item — lists every status your point of sale has ever sent and lets you tick which stages each one means. There is also a Request Review column and a Send after (hours) delay, so reaching a status can trigger a review request.
Statuses appear here on their own once orders have synced. If the screen is empty, no orders have arrived yet.
A sale is always an estimate too
Ticking Sale automatically ticks Estimate, because everything sold was quoted first. That is what keeps conversion rates at or below 100%.
Recalculate after changing the mapping
Saving offers Save & Recalculate. Take it — the graphs are built from these mappings and stay stale until they are rebuilt.
The dangerous edit
Status mapping applies to CoreBridge and AIM connections. Other platforms set their own stages when they sync, and the matrix does not change them.
