Connecting your mailbox to the CRM
Linking a Google or Microsoft account so email with your customers appears on their records, and what is and is not synced.
Last updated September 2, 2026
Connecting your mailbox is the single change that makes the CRM feel worth using. Email between you and a contact appears on their record automatically, so the history is complete without anyone copying anything in.
Connecting
- Open Team Members in your tribe's CRM settings.
- Find yourself in the list and choose Connect Google Account or Connect Microsoft Account.
- Sign in and approve the access your provider asks about.
- The account then shows against your name as linked to this tribe.
If you cannot see yourself in the list, your team member profile is not linked to your login — an administrator can put that right.
What appears, and what does not
| Appears in the CRM | Does not |
|---|---|
| Email to and from people who are contacts in this tribe. | Everything else in your mailbox. |
| On the contact and on their company's roll-up. | Your calendar, your files, your folders. |
A mailbox is linked to a tribe. Someone working two tribes links their account in each, and can see when an account was connected by a colleague rather than themselves.
Disconnecting
Remove the link from the same screen. History already recorded stays on the contacts; nothing new is picked up afterwards.
