Vouchers, discounts and free trials

Vouchers let you sell a package at a concession without creating a second package for every deal you do. Build them under Vouchers.

What a voucher can do

• No Joining Fee — waive the setup charge.
• Free Trial Period — a period at no cost before billing starts.
• Discounted Membership — a reduced amount for a set period, or ongoing.

One code or many

Choose Single voucher code for a campaign code everyone uses, or Unique code for each customer when you need to track who redeemed what. With unique codes, Generate Code mints one at a time and can record the person or business it was issued to and an expiry date.

Applying one to a member

On the member, use Add Voucher, enter the code, and choose Apply at start of membership or Apply today. A code that is refused shows the reason under the code: it does not exist or is outside its valid period, it cannot be used with this package, or it has no redemptions left. Applied vouchers show on the Transactions tab with their start, end and discount, and an open-ended one is marked Ongoing.

Restricting a voucher

A voucher can be tied to specific Membership Packages and given a quantity and a valid period, so a launch offer cannot be used on the wrong product or after it has closed. These limits apply wherever the code is entered: on the member with Add Voucher, and on the vendor application form.

• Membership Packages — untick Enable all membership packages and choose the packages the voucher is for. On any other package the code is refused with This voucher cannot be used with this package.
• Quantity — with Unlimited Redemptions unticked, Maximum Redemptions is how many memberships the voucher can be applied to in total. Once that many have it, the code is refused with This voucher has no redemptions left. For unique codes, only codes that have been applied count, not codes you have generated but not yet used.
• Valid Period — outside the redemption start and end dates the code is treated as if it does not exist.
