Asking customers for reviews

Automatic requests after a completed order, the request button, and the settings that decide who gets asked.

Last updated September 2, 2026

The reliable way to get reviews is to ask every satisfied customer, every time, without anybody remembering to. Gorilla Dash can send the request automatically once an order is completed.

The settings

SettingWhat it does
Automated reviewsAsk for a review automatically after an order is completed.
Request reviews for these platformsWhich platforms the customer is pointed at.
Maximum order ageStops requests going out for work finished long ago.
Enable request review buttonLets your team send a request by hand.

Maximum order age matters

SWITCHING AUTOMATION ON CAN ASK EVERYONE AT ONCE
Without a sensible maximum order age, turning automated requests on can email customers about jobs you finished months ago. Set the age first, and set it to something a customer would still remember — days, not months.

Choosing platforms

Point customers at one platform, usually Google. Offering three choices lowers the number who complete any of them, and Google is the one that shows up when the next customer searches.

Asking by hand

The request button lets a rep send one at the moment a customer says something nice. That is the highest-converting review request there is — far better than any automated one — so switch it on and tell the team it exists.
