Merge fields
Click a chip to insert one at your cursor:
| Field | Becomes |
|---|---|
| {{ first_name }} | The person's first name |
| {{ last_name }} | Their surname |
| {{ full_name }} | Both together |
| {{ business_name }} | Their business |
| {{ organisation_name }} | Your organisation |
| {{ tribe_name }} | Their tribe — falls back to your organisation name |
| {{ tribe_phone }} | That tribe's phone number |
A field with no value comes out empty, so "Hi {{ first_name }}," becomes "Hi ," for a contact with no first name. Consider whether your audience has the data before you personalise.
Keep it short
Aim to fit inside one segment. Remember the opt-out line is added automatically and counts towards the length, even though the counter does not show it. Avoid emoji, curly quotes and accented characters unless you accept tripling the cost.
The opt-out line
Every campaign message gets your opt-out wording appended — by default something like "Reply STOP to opt out". You do not need to write it yourself, and you should not remove it: it is what makes STOP work and what keeps you compliant.
Adding images
Attach up to ten images from your Media Library to send as MMS. Then choose what happens for phones that cannot receive them under If recipient cannot receive MMS:
- Send text without images — the default, and almost always right.
- Skip the recipient — they get nothing, and you are not charged.
- Mark as failed — they get nothing and it is recorded as a failure.
