Custom Dashboards
Reading the numbers correctly
How fresh the figures are, why two percentages on one card measure different things, and the filter that changes your totals.

Everything on a dashboard is honest, but several figures mean something slightly different from what people assume. These are the ones that cause arguments.
Today's sales are not on here yet
The exception is Open Support Tickets, which is always live, because a stale ticket count reads as a fault rather than a delay.
Sales and enquiries do not compare the same window
The tribe status filter changes your totals
A dashboard shows Active tribes only until you change the Tribe Status filter. If a dashboard total does not match a report, this is the first thing to check — the report may be including paused, testing or opening-soon tribes that the dashboard is leaving out.
Sales here are gross
Dashboard sales count every order, whether or not it can be attributed to marketing. That is deliberate — it is the tribe's trading performance. Marketing attribution figures elsewhere are a subset and will legitimately be lower.
Review ratings need their counts
The review ranking shows the number of reviews on each bar, because a perfect score from two reviews will otherwise outrank a strong score from three hundred. Read both numbers together.
Two call scores that disagree
The New Customer Call Rating widget covers a rolling period you choose — six months by default — while the call score column in Tribe Results is year to date. Both can be on the same dashboard and both be right.
The year-on-year sales chart hides this week
The weekly comparison leaves out the week in progress for the current year, so you are not comparing three days against a full week. The current year will always look one week shorter.
