Payments & Shipping
Payment settings
Card, invoice and custom payment methods, when payment is taken, and going live.
Last updated September 2, 2026
How a store takes money is set per store, because a school shop and a corporate uniform account rarely work the same way.
The methods
| Method | Suits |
|---|---|
| Credit card | Individuals paying for their own goods. A card fee can be applied. |
| Invoice | A client paying on account. Enabled by default when card payment is turned off. |
| Custom payment methods | Anything your business does that is neither — an internal charge code, a payroll deduction. |
When payment is taken
- On purchase — charged as they order. Simple, and right without approval.
- On acceptance — charged once the order is approved. The fair pairing with purchase approval.

Card fees
A credit card fee can be added. If you charge one, say so on the storefront rather than letting it appear at the last step of checkout — a surprise fee at the payment screen is a common reason baskets are abandoned.
