Connecting Google or Microsoft for sign-in
Connect a Google or Microsoft account, create an account from an invitation, and safely disconnect a sign-in method.

A connected Google or Microsoft account lets you sign in to your Gorilla Dash account without entering your Gorilla Dash password each time. Your access and two factor authentication requirements stay the same. These buttons appear only when the provider is available.
Connect your existing account
- Sign in to Gorilla Dash, including your usual two factor check.
- Open My Account → Password & Security. Find Connected sign-in methods.
- Choose Connect Google Account or Connect Microsoft Account. Select the account you want to use.
- Check the selected account on the confirmation screen and choose Connect. It appears in your connected sign-in methods.
Connecting requires a recent Gorilla Dash sign-in. If asked, sign out and sign in again, then return to Password & Security. You can connect one account from each provider.
Use the login screen
Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft and select your connected account. Complete your Gorilla Dash two factor check if requested.
If the Google account is not connected yet, and Google confirms that its email address belongs to an existing Gorilla Dash account, you are asked to sign in with your Gorilla Dash password first and then confirm the connection. Microsoft does not confirm email addresses to Gorilla Dash, so a Microsoft account that is not connected yet always opens the Create your account screen. If you already have a Gorilla Dash account, do not create a second one: sign in with your password and connect Microsoft from Password & Security instead.
Create an account or follow an invitation
- Open Create your account, or follow the link in your invitation.
- Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft.
- Confirm your name and email address. For an invitation, use the invited address. You may enter an optional password as another way to sign in.
- Check your details and choose Create account. If you used Google and kept the email address Google already confirmed, your account is active straight away and Gorilla Dash opens two factor authentication setup next. Otherwise the screen changes to Check your inbox and we send you one email: select the link in it to activate your account, and it opens two factor authentication setup for you.
- Scan the code with your authenticator app and enter the code it shows to finish setting up two factor authentication. If you leave before finishing, we email you a link to finish setup the next time you sign in.
- Sign in with the same provider and enter the code from your authenticator app when asked.
- Return to your invitation or notifications to accept it. Creating an account does not accept an invitation or grant organisation access automatically.
If Microsoft does not provide an email address, enter one on the account creation screen. Gorilla Dash verifies it before allowing sign-in. Existing password signup and first-time password setup links continue to work.
Disconnect a sign-in method
In Connected sign-in methods, choose Disconnect. Confirm with your current Gorilla Dash password. If you did not set a password at signup, use Forgotten Password? to set one first. A recent sign-in is also required. Disconnecting removes this provider as a way to sign in; it does not remove your organisation access or your separate email integrations.
Resetting your password with Forgotten Password? also disconnects every connected Microsoft account, and any Google account unless Google has confirmed that its email address is your Gorilla Dash email address. A reset is how an account is recovered after someone else may have used it, so only connections that can be tied to your own email address are kept. If that happens to an account you still want, connect it again from Password & Security.
