Scheduling & Publishing
Scheduling a post
Posting now or later, picking a date and time, and planning a month you can actually keep to.

A finished post is either published straight away or scheduled. Post Now sends it immediately; Post Later asks for a date and time and publishes it then, whether or not anyone is at a desk.
Choosing a time
- Post when your customers are on their phones — commutes, lunchtimes and evenings for consumer audiences; working hours for business ones.
- Consistency beats optimisation. Two good posts a week, always on the same days, does more than a burst of eleven in a fortnight.
- Spread a campaign out. Three posts scheduled an hour apart look like a mistake in someone's feed.
Planning ahead
Write a week or a month at a time and schedule it. The calendar then shows the shape of the month, and the gaps are visible while there is still time to fill them.
After scheduling
The post sits in the list and on the calendar with its date. Its status tells you what happened when the time came — see post statuses.
