CRM Call Lists

Building a call list

Creating a list, adding leads by hand or in bulk from a filtered list, and keeping it a sensible size.

Open Call Lists and create a New list. Give it a name that says what it is for and roughly when — "Expo follow-up, March" tells the next person everything.

Adding leads

Way inWhen to use it
Add leads from the list itselfPicking a handful of specific people or companies.
Bulk edit from the contacts or companies listThe usual way: filter to the set you want, tick them, and add the selection.
Add a new contact from the call screenSomeone you meet mid-session who is not in the CRM yet.

Anyone already on the list is skipped rather than added twice, so you can safely add an overlapping selection.

Keeping it workable

  • Size it to a session. Two hundred names is a week of calling and a list nobody finishes; forty is an afternoon.
  • One reason per list. Mixing an event follow-up with a reactivation campaign means neither set of numbers means anything.
  • Check for phone numbers before you start. Filter out the ones you cannot call, or use the phone finder first.
BUILD IT FROM A SAVED VIEW
If you run the same campaign monthly, save the filter as a view. Rebuilding a complicated filter from memory is how a list ends up containing people it should not.
