Writing an article
Under Articles, press Create. You get a Heading, Sub Heading, Author, an Image and the Story itself.
Two fields that decide when and where it appears
- Select Digests — which newsletters this article belongs to. An article with none goes nowhere.
- Publish on or after this date — it is held back until then, so you can write several weeks ahead.
Position sets the running order: Top Story, Middle Story or Last Story. Put the thing you actually need people to read at the top — the rest of the digest is browsed, not read.
Articles are used once
An article is marked published when a live digest goes out and will not appear in the next one. The Status column on the articles list shows Draft for anything still waiting.
Seeing what happened
The digest's own page lists Sent Digests — one row per send with recipients, delivered, opened, failed and bounced, and how many articles it carried. Open a row for Digest Recipients, showing every person and whether their copy was delivered, opened, failed or bounced, with a filter for each.
Test sends appear in the list
A test creates a record like any other send, so do not be alarmed to see rows you did not mail to the network. They just went to you.
Deleting an article
Permanent, and the confirmation says so. Editions already sent keep the article as it was at the time, so removing one does not rewrite history.
