Adding files
Categories, collections, uploading, thumbnails, and the fact that there are no file versions.

Categories then collections
Create a Category first, then Create Collection inside it. Give the collection a name and some Comments explaining what it is for — the comments are searchable, so they are worth writing.
Uploading
Drop files onto the uploader or click to browse. Any file type is accepted, and large files are uploaded in pieces automatically.
External links
A collection can also hold External Assets — a link to something hosted elsewhere, with its own thumbnail. Useful for a video, or a supplier's own download page.
Thumbnails
Common images, PDFs and Office documents get a thumbnail automatically. Very large PDFs are skipped. If one is missing, Fix Thumbnail has another go.
There are no versions
Moving things
You cannot change a collection's category by editing it — use the bulk Move to Category action instead. Files can be moved between collections the same way, as long as the two collections are different.
