Entries & Tribes

Letting tribes see their entries

The single setting that decides whether a tribe can follow up its own leads — and why it silently shows nothing.

Last updated September 2, 2026

A competition is usually run centrally but the leads belong locally. Show entries to tribes controls whether each tribe can see the people who entered at their tribe.

Turning it on

Set it to Show on the promotion form, or use the quick toggle above the entries table — Show entries to Tribes and Hide entries from Tribes. When it is on, a banner confirms Entries are visible to Tribes.

When it is off, tribes see an empty list

NOT AN ERROR — JUST NOTHING
A tribe looking at a competition whose visibility is not Show sees an empty entries list, with no message explaining why. They will report that the competition "got no entries at their store" and everybody will look in the wrong place. If a tribe says they have no entries, check this setting before you check anything else.

Older competitions may carry a legacy setting that is neither Show nor Hide. It behaves exactly like Hide. Open the promotion and set it explicitly.

What a tribe can do with them

  • See the entries made at their tribe.
  • Download them.
  • Set a Follow Up status on each one.

They cannot edit the competition, change its dates, or see entries from other tribes.

Deciding when to reveal them

Some networks show entries as they arrive so tribes can follow up immediately; others hold them until the competition closes so nobody contacts entrants mid-draw. Both are reasonable — decide it deliberately and tell your tribes which you are doing, because the toggle gives them no clue either way.
