What arrives from your website and forms, how to work one, and how it becomes a lead rather than sitting in a list.

Last updated September 2, 2026

An enquiry is somebody putting their hand up: a form on your website, a landing page, a campaign response. They arrive in the CRM ready to be worked, already attached to a contact.

What an enquiry carries

DetailWhy it matters
Form name and fieldsExactly what they filled in, in their own words.
Calculated sourceWhere the enquiry came from, worked out from how they arrived.
Business nameWhat they said they work for, if the form asked.
Assigned toWho is picking it up.

Working one

  1. Read what they actually wrote before you call. The form fields usually say more than the summary line.
  2. Assign it to whoever is going to respond.
  3. Make the contact an active lead if it is worth chasing.
  4. Log the call or email when you respond, and book the next step.

Where a lifecycle trigger is set for enquiries, arriving here also moves the contact forward automatically — so a new enquirer stops looking like a cold name.

SPEED IS THE WHOLE GAME
Enquiries go cold in hours, not days. The enquiry list is the one screen worth checking more than once a day.
