Changing a password you still know, from My Account, and choosing one worth having.

Last updated September 2, 2026

Open My Account and go to My Password. Enter your old password, then the new one, and save. You are told when it has changed.

This is the route when you still know your current password. If you do not, use the forgotten password link on the sign-in screen instead.

Choosing a password

  • Length beats complexity. Three or four unrelated words are stronger than a short password full of symbols, and far easier to type.
  • Do not reuse it. A password shared with another site is only as safe as that site.
  • Use a password manager if you have one. It removes the temptation to reuse.

When to change it

  • You think someone else has seen it.
  • You used it somewhere that has had a breach.
  • Somebody set it up for you and you have never changed it.
CHANGING ROUTINELY IS NOT THE POINT
A strong password you keep is safer than a weak one you rotate every quarter. If you want a real improvement, switch on two factor authentication instead.
