Who Can See What
Publishing an article to your support screen
Putting your own articles on a public help page for your customers, offering them as a PDF, and attaching an article to a screen in Gorilla Dash.

Some of what you write is for your customers rather than your team — how to place an order, what your turnaround times are, how a warranty claim works. Those articles can be published to a public support page of your own, which works the same way as the page you are reading now.
Publishing one
- Open the article and set its Status to Published.
- Under Visibility, choose Public.
- Put the article in a category. This is not optional: the public page is built out of categories, so an article belonging to none of them does not appear on it at all, however public it is.
Those are the three things the public page looks for. There is a fourth setting nearby, Show on Support Screen, which is easy to mistake for part of this and is not: it lists the article on the in-app Support screen that signed-in users see, and it has no bearing on the public page in either direction. Turn it on as well if your team should find the article from inside Gorilla Dash.
Offering it as a download
An article can offer itself as a PDF, generated from the article itself rather than from a separate file. Because the two come from one source they cannot disagree, so correcting the article corrects the download.
The two radios under Embedded PDFs — Show as Download Button and Render PDF inline — are about PDF files you have placed inside the article body from the Resource Library, not about the article's own PDF. Show as Download Button leaves them as links the reader saves; Render PDF inline displays them in the page. Choosing either also switches the article's own PDF download on.
Attaching an article to a screen
Help Links, on the Knowledge Base menu, connects one of your articles to a particular screen in Gorilla Dash, so the help offered there opens your article rather than a general one. Search for the article, select Assign, and it is connected; Remove disconnects it again.
Two screens can be linked to today, both of them on a team member's own profile: the Custom Pages tab and the Main Website Pages tab. It is a small list, but it is worth using — an article somebody has to go looking for is read once, and an article that appears on the screen where the question arises is read every time.
