Understanding Your Bill
AI tokens
How AI is charged, what your allowance covers, and choosing between paying as you go and a package.

Everything AI does in Gorilla Dash is charged in a single currency — AI tokens — rather than a separate price per feature. Each tribe gets an allowance included every month.
One meter, published prices per action
Individual features have a published token price — a chatbot reply costs a few tokens, a call transcription or a piece of generated content costs more, and enquiry insights costs more again. Those all draw down the same token balance, which is why your invoice has one AI line rather than a dozen.
The per-feature entries on the Metered Usage screen are there so you can see where tokens went and switch individual features off.
When you run out
Nothing stops. Usage beyond the allowance simply bills at the token rate. Where each tribe pays for its own usage, your billing contacts are emailed the first time a tribe crosses its included allowance in a month. Under Organisation pays for all tribes the allowance is pooled across the network and no such email is sent.
Metered or a package
| Option | Suits |
|---|---|
| Metered usage | Light or unpredictable use — you only pay for what you consume. |
| A usage package | Steady heavy use — a flat monthly fee that includes more AI value than it costs. |
Nothing is charged at the moment you choose. Both start on the next monthly billing run.
Cancelling a package
A package only covers the features it lists. Everything else — email sends, text messages, store fees — keeps billing as metered usage alongside it.
Switching features off
Optional AI features can be disabled for a tribe, which stops them working and stops them costing anything. Core charges — messages, email, store orders, number rental — have no off switch, because turning them off would break the product.
