The Monday-morning sales email for business advisors and head office: what it counts, how sales channels and quotes are shown, the year-to-date charts, the AI summary, and how to switch it on.

Last updated October 14, 2026

Early every Monday morning, Gorilla Dash can email each business advisor a sales report covering the tribes they look after, for the Monday-to-Sunday week that has just finished. A tribe is one location, branch or business unit inside your organisation. The report is built so that an advisor has every tribe's figures in front of them when they make their calls that week. A second version covers the whole organisation and goes to the people at head office you choose.

This report is separate from the weekly activity report, which advisors receive on Sunday evening and which covers leads, enquiries and calls. Switching one on or off does not affect the other.

Switching it on

  1. Select Settings, then open the Reports & Notifications tab.
  2. Find the Business Advisor Weekly Reports card and scroll to its Weekly Sales Report section.
  3. Turn on Send business advisor weekly sales reports. Each advisor receives one email covering every active tribe assigned to them.
  4. If somebody should receive a copy of every advisor's report, add their address under Additional Business Advisor Sales Report Recipients and press Enter.
  5. To send the organisation report, choose administrators under Send the organisation sales report to, add any other addresses under Organisation Sales Report Email Addresses, or both.
  6. Select Save.

The advisor report is off until you turn it on. The organisation report has no switch of its own: it goes to whoever is named in those two lists, and to nobody when both are empty. Only administrators of your organisation can be chosen from the list; anybody else is added as an email address.

WHO COUNTS AS AN ADVISOR
An advisor is the person named as the tribe's business advisor in Tribe Settings. A tribe with nobody named is left out of every advisor report, but it is still counted in the organisation report under "No advisor assigned".

What it counts

Sales are the orders your sales connections report as sales, by the date of the sale and before tax, the same figures the sales graphs use. Orders marked to be ignored are left out. Every figure is shown five ways: this week, the change on last week, the change on the same week last year, the year to date, and the change on last year up to the same date. "The same week last year" is exactly 52 weeks earlier, so a Monday is always compared with a Monday.

The report follows the two switches each platform has under Sales > Settings > Reporting Settings. Only platforms with In top-line totals switched on count towards the sales totals and the year-to-date charts. Shown in reports decides which platforms get a row in the channel tables. When both platforms are counted and Gorilla Dash has sent an ezCater order into Toast, the order is counted once, under ezCater.

Sales channels

When sales come through more than one platform, such as Toast and ezCater, the report adds a Where the sales came from table for the whole report, and the same split under each tribe that sold through more than one platform. The table shows each platform's sales for the week and the year with their changes, so you can see whether a tribe's week was carried by catering orders or by its own counter.

A PLATFORM THAT IS SHOWN BUT NOT COUNTED
If a platform has Shown in reports on but In top-line totals off, its row is set in grey and marked Not counted in the totals. Use this when its orders already reach another platform, such as ezCater orders that arrive in Toast: the totals and charts count each order once, under Toast, and the ezCater row still shows how much of the business came through catering.

Quotes

For organisations whose job management system records quotes, such as CoreBridge or AIM, the report shows quotes beside sales: the value quoted this week and the year to date, each with its own chart. Quotes are valued before tax and dated by when the quote was made. Food point-of-sale systems do not quote, so food brands see sales only.

The year-to-date charts

Each chart is a running total from 1 January. This year is the dark purple line and last year is the light grey line, and both start from zero, so you can see whether this year is ahead of or behind the same point last year. Last year's line runs to the end of December. The top of the report has a sales chart (and a quotes chart, where quotes are recorded) for all of the advisor's tribes together. The advisor report then has a card for every tribe with its own pair of charts. When nobody in the report records quotes, every sales chart is drawn across the full width of its card.

What changed

Under the headline figures, What changed lists up to four of the week's biggest movements: the tribes that rose and fell most, tribes that sold the week before but recorded nothing this week, and how the year is tracking. These are written by AI from the figures in the report, and the report says so when they are.

A TRIBE WITH NO SALES THIS WEEK
A tribe that sold the week before and shows nothing this week has usually lost its sales connection rather than stopped trading. Check the connection under the tribe's sales settings before raising it with the owner.

The AI is only allowed to repeat amounts and percentages that appear in the report. If it quotes any other figure, or cannot be reached, the report uses plain sentences built from the same figures instead, so the email always goes out.

The organisation report

The organisation report has the same totals, channel table and charts for the whole organisation. In place of the tribe cards it has a By advisor table, showing whether each advisor's tribes were up or down on last week, last year and the year to date, followed by the ten tribes that rose most and the ten that fell most.

When it arrives

The report is sent from 6am on Monday in your organisation's timezone, which is set in your organisation settings. If something delays it, it is retried through Monday and Tuesday. Sales that reach Gorilla Dash after the report is sent are counted in the following week's comparisons, but not added to a report that has already gone.

An advisor whose tribes recorded no sales or quotes at all is not sent an empty email that week. A tribe with no sales connection is named at the foot of the report, so you know which figures are missing.

LONG REPORTS IN GMAIL
An advisor who looks after many tribes receives a long email. Gmail shortens long emails and shows a "View entire message" link at the bottom; select it to see the remaining tribe cards.
