Every settings card, what it controls, and the order to work through them when you are setting the CRM up.

CRM Settings is where the CRM is configured. Almost everything here is organisation-wide: set once, used by every tribe. That is what makes network reporting possible, and it is why a change here is worth a moment's thought.

The words your business uses

CardControls
Lifecycle StagesThe journey a contact or company takes with you.
Company StatusesThe standing of an account, separate from that journey.
Opportunity StagesThe steps a deal passes through.
Opportunity TypesWhat kind of business a deal is.
Lead SourcesWhere business comes from.
Contact CategoriesHow contacts are grouped.
Task PrioritiesHow the task list sorts.
Calendar Event TypesThe kinds of appointment you book.
Communication Log TypesThe kinds of conversation you record.

The fields you add

Contact Fields and Company Fields add whatever your business tracks that Gorilla Dash does not have a box for. Create them before importing anything.

How the CRM behaves

CardControls
CRM Tribe AccessWhich tribes have the CRM at all.
Quick RulesWhich events move a contact to which stage.
New Lead WindowHow recent a lead has to be to count as new.
POS Sales LinkingWhether sales are tied to opportunities, and how.
Card DisplayWhether CRM cards lead with the company name or the contact name.
Email FooterThe signature on email sent from the CRM.
Import SettingsWhat tribe users are allowed to import.

The order to do it in

  1. Tribe access — decide who has the CRM.
  2. Team members, in each tribe.
  3. The vocabulary: lifecycle stages, opportunity stages, lead sources, statuses.
  4. Custom fields, before any import.
  5. The behaviour: quick rules, sales linking, lead window — last, once real records are moving.
RENAMING IS NOT FREE
Changing a stage or source name changes it for every tribe and every historical record at once. Reports people have been reading for months suddenly describe something else. Agree the words before the network starts using them.
