Scheduling a campaign
Setting a send date and time, what happens without one, and choosing when to send.
Last updated September 2, 2026
A campaign can go out now or on a date and time you choose. Set the send date and send time on the campaign, and it goes when it is due without anyone being at a keyboard.
No send date
A campaign showing no send date is not scheduled and will not go out on its own. That is fine while you are building it — and it is the answer when somebody asks why a campaign they finished last week never sent.
Choosing a time
- Mid-morning on a weekday is a reliable default for business audiences.
- Avoid Monday first thing, when everyone is clearing a weekend of mail.
- Avoid Friday afternoon, when replies will sit until Monday.
- For consumer audiences, evenings and weekends often work better — test rather than assume.
Consistency beats cleverness: a newsletter that always arrives on the same morning gets recognised.
