CRM Basics
Finding a record fast
Global search, list search and filters — which to reach for when someone is on the phone and you have three seconds.

There are three ways to find something, and picking the right one is the difference between finding a caller before they finish saying their name and hunting through a list while they wait.
Global search
Search at the top of the screen — or Command-K on a Mac, Control-K on Windows — searches across Gorilla Dash without you having to be on the right screen first. This is the one to use when the phone rings.
The search box on a list
Every CRM list has its own search that narrows the list you are already looking at. Use it when you know roughly where the record is — searching the companies list for "joiner" is faster than searching everything.
Filters, for finding a group
Search finds one record. Filters find a set — everyone at a stage, everyone from a lead source, everyone a rep owns, everything added between two dates. When you build the same set twice, save it as a view.
