Pricing a product

Main price, quantity brackets, customisation costs — and where markup groups actually live.

Last updated September 2, 2026

All pricing sits on the Online Shop tab. Start by switching on Make this item available for sale in store — without it the prices are stored but nothing is purchasable.

The sections

SectionFor
Main PriceThe headline price, an optional crossed-out compare price, and installation cost.
Quantity PricePrice brackets — cheaper per unit as quantity rises.
Additional CostsExtras with their own unit and setup prices.
CustomisationDecoration methods, with unit and setup prices and colour rules.
Inventory and ShippingStock codes, barcode, weight for shipping rates.
Variant PricingDifferent prices per size or colour.

Markup groups are edited somewhere else

THE PRODUCT SCREEN ONLY SHOWS WHICH GROUP APPLIES
Markup groups themselves are created and edited in the Store app, not here. The percentages shown beside a price bracket are read-only reminders of the group in force. Looking for the markup settings on this screen is a common dead end.

A markup can come from the supplier, the category or the bracket itself, which is why two similar products can price differently — check all three.

Bulk price changes cannot be undone

A PERCENTAGE IS APPLIED IMMEDIATELY TO EVERY SELECTED PRODUCT
Bulk Price Update adjusts existing prices by the percentage you enter — 10 raises every selected price by 10%, -10 cuts it by 10% — across everything selected, with no preview and no undo. Test it on one product first, and note that a product with no price set is skipped silently rather than being given one.

Prices your tribes set

A tribe can enter its own price per option under Products & Pricing, leaving anything blank to use head office's. Zero is not a valid price — clearing the field is how a tribe hands an item back to head office pricing.

TRIBE PRICES ARE SAVED BUT NOT PUBLISHED UNTIL HEAD OFFICE TURNS THEM ON
The switch is Enable tribe pricing on Store Settings at organisation level, and each tribe then needs the matching switch on its own Store Settings. There is no such setting on the product screen. Until both are on, the tribe's own screen tells them visitors still see head office prices.

Two different tribe screens

A tribe's price is set in Products & Pricing and applies everywhere. Its images and wording are overridden in the Websites app, per website. They are different screens in different places and are easily confused.
