Instagram rejects images that are too panoramic or outside its supported aspect ratios. Check the error, replace the image with a supported ratio, and retry the post.

If a scheduled post succeeds on Facebook or LinkedIn but fails on Instagram with an “unsupported aspect ratio” error, the image dimensions are outside Instagram’s allowed range.
Why this happens
Instagram only accepts images within a specific aspect‑ratio range. If the image is too panoramic or too tall, it will be rejected.
- Supported range: between 1.91:1 and 3:4
- Recommended feed ratios: 4:5 (vertical), 1:1 (square), 1.91:1 (landscape)
How to fix
- View the error details in the failure email, or click the error icon on the post in Gorilla Dash.
- Crop or resize the image to one of the recommended ratios (4:5, 1:1, or 1.91:1), or ensure it’s within the supported range.
- Replace the image on the post.
- Retry the failed post.
