Phil and Nancy Gugliotta are preparing to bring The Swing Bays to Wake Forest, North Carolina, marking the franchise’s first expansion beyond Colorado. The couple, longtime franchise consultants and devoted golf enthusiasts, see the project as a chance to merge their professional expertise with their personal passion. Their son, currently working as an assistant golf professional, will also play an active role in operations, giving the new location a distinctly family-driven character.
The Wake Forest facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026 and will feature six golf bays equipped with Trackman simulators, widely regarded as some of the most advanced tools in the industry. In addition to the simulators, the site will offer PGA-certified lessons, as well as dedicated putting and chipping areas designed to help players improve every aspect of their game.
A fitness center built around Titleist Performance Institute programming will add another dimension to the experience. The inclusion of a food and beverage bar reflects the franchise’s strategy of pairing high-level training resources with social amenities, creating a space that appeals to both serious golfers and those seeking a sense of community.
Membership options are designed to attract a wide range of customers, with monthly plans starting at $35 and reaching $595. The flexible structure allows casual players to enjoy occasional access while giving more dedicated golfers and families the opportunity to benefit from regular coaching and fitness support.
Dustin Miller, PGA professional and co-founder of The Swing Bays, said the Gugliottas’ involvement represents a major advantage for the brand. “Their background in franchise consulting and their genuine love for golf make them ideal partners,” he noted, adding that the Wake Forest location is expected to firmly establish The Swing Bays within North Carolina’s golf community.
Founded in 2022, The Swing Bays has built its reputation by combining advanced simulator technology with traditional coaching and athletic training. Its facilities provide an immersive, year-round golf experience, a model that has gained traction as players seek options that are not limited by weather or daylight.
For Wake Forest, the arrival of The Swing Bays adds to the region’s expanding sports and recreation offerings. For the Gugliottas, the project represents both a business opportunity and a personal commitment to sharing the game they love with a wider community. The expansion underscores how indoor golf, once a niche pursuit, is emerging as a cornerstone of modern recreation and a promising path for franchise growth.
