Sam and Corinna Chang are bringing a new indoor golf concept to Southern California after signing a five unit development agreement with The Swing Bays. Their first location, scheduled to open in spring 2026 in Rowland Heights, reflects a shared vision shaped by decades of professional experience and a deep personal connection to the game.
After more than 20 years as a regional sales director, Sam Chang is transitioning from corporate leadership into franchising, while Corinna Chang contributes 15 years of experience in real estate. Together, they are positioning The Swing Bays as more than a business venture. “Golf is the heartbeat of our family,” Sam said, noting that all four of their children play the sport and understand both its challenges and rewards.
The Swing Bays concept was developed to close a gap in the golf market by combining instruction, technology, and a welcoming environment. Founder Dustin Miller said the goal is to create a space that serves elite golfers and casual players alike, offering year round access to quality coaching and community engagement. The focus, he said, is on making golf more accessible and enjoyable for a broader audience.
The Rowland Heights facility will feature six indoor simulator bays, including a private bay, along with beverage service and partnerships with local restaurants. The space is designed to host everyone from junior golfers and first time players to corporate groups, blending recreation with a social atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Presales for memberships are expected to begin in early 2026, with additional locations planned across Southern California as part of the broader development agreement. For the Changs, the expansion represents an opportunity to reshape how people experience golf, offering a modern, inclusive alternative that brings the game indoors without losing its sense of community.
