Petpals has received 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction recognition from WorkBuzz, placing the UK pet care franchise among a select group of franchise systems recognized for high levels of franchisee satisfaction. The award follows the independent WorkBuzz Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark Survey, which measures franchisee views on training, leadership, communication, and ongoing business support.
According to the survey results, all new Petpals franchisees approved of the company’s initial training program, while franchisees also reported strong levels of pride in the brand and confidence in the support provided by head office. The survey found that many franchisees felt motivated to go beyond minimum expectations and believed the franchisor had a genuine interest in their success.
WorkBuzz franchise specialist Sharon Weston said the recognition reflected Petpals’ sustained investment in franchisee relationships, leadership, and network support. She said the company’s approach demonstrated a commitment to building profitable long-term partnerships rather than focusing solely on network expansion.
Petpals provides franchisees with business coaching, accredited pet care training, marketing guidance, and access to industry expertise. The company recently held a mid-year digital conference featuring updates from Managing Director Kevin Thackrah, digital marketing training led by Katie Morris, and public relations guidance from communications specialist Sally Anne Butters. The event formed part of the company’s ongoing franchisee development program.
Thackrah said the 5-star recognition was particularly meaningful because it reflected the quality of relationships within the franchise network. He said the result reinforced the company’s focus on practical support, communication, and long-term franchisee success.
For franchise systems that prioritize franchisee engagement, measuring satisfaction across the network can become an important management tool. Platforms such as Gorilla Dash can help franchisors support Benchmarking, track franchisee engagement indicators, and improve visibility across multi-unit networks. As franchise organizations grow, consistent performance and support data can help leadership identify strengths, address emerging challenges, and maintain a strong franchisee experience across the network.
