Swig is taking its customized beverage concept into Washington through an 11-unit franchise agreement with Summit Management Group, marking the brand’s entry into the Pacific Northwest. Franchisees Sean Collins, Jared Collins and Ramey Mills will lead the development across the state, with the first location planned to open by the end of 2026. The agreement extends Swig’s signed franchise development from coast to coast as the brand continues building its national footprint.
The three franchisees bring experience in multi-unit restaurant and franchise operations through their family-owned franchise group. Swig said the team was drawn to the brand’s leadership, community focus and values-driven culture, which align with the group’s approach to operating businesses at scale. Their Washington development will give the brand an experienced local operating team as it establishes its first locations in the state.
Swig’s beverage model centers on customization, allowing customers to combine soft drinks, water and energy beverages with flavors, fresh fruit, purees, creams and other mix-ins. That menu flexibility is paired with a drive-thru-focused format designed to operate in footprints as small as 800 to 850 square feet, without the complex kitchen infrastructure typically associated with traditional restaurant concepts. The model is intended to support efficient development across multiple locations.
As franchise networks add locations, financial visibility becomes increasingly important for operators managing development across multiple markets. Gorilla Dash offers a Financial Reporting feature that can help franchise organizations organize financial information and monitor performance as their operations expand.
Swig opened its first location in St. George, Utah, in 2010 and has since grown into a nationally expanding beverage brand with nearly 170 locations across 17 states, according to the company. The Washington agreement gives Swig another new market while creating a sizable development pipeline from the outset. For Summit Management Group, the next phase will center on bringing the first location to market and establishing the foundation for the remaining 10 units.
