Driver Hire has set a new benchmark in its four-decade history, recording its highest-ever weekly turnover during the 24th week of the current financial year. The staffing and logistics franchise reported a 10 percent increase compared with the same week last year and a 6 percent improvement on its year-to-date performance. Out of more than 100 franchised offices across the United Kingdom, 54 achieved their strongest trading week to date, underscoring the system’s resilience and reach.
Chief Executive Chris Chidley praised the milestone, calling it “a remarkable achievement given the wider economic challenges facing the UK at the moment.” He highlighted the contributions of both established and newer offices, noting that the results reflected a collective effort across the network. The outcome, he said, was the product of a clear strategy that aligns services with active market sectors while ensuring customer needs are consistently met.
The record week is a reminder of how crucial flexibility is in staffing and logistics. Driver Hire’s network specializes in supplying qualified drivers and logistics personnel, often on short notice, to companies managing disruptions from sickness, holidays, or seasonal demand. In an economy where delays can have outsized consequences, the ability to provide reliable cover has become central to the brand’s reputation.
The figures also demonstrate the strength of the franchise model itself. By combining local ownership with national support, Driver Hire has built a system that enables its offices to adapt quickly while benefiting from shared best practices. This combination of entrepreneurial independence and structured guidance has created opportunities for individual operators to thrive even when external conditions are uncertain.
For prospective franchisees, the achievement is more than a headline figure. It reflects the potential of a network that has shown it can deliver growth, stability, and strong performance under pressure. In a sector defined by change, Driver Hire’s record-breaking week stands as proof of a business model that continues to find momentum and confidence in challenging times.
