Driver Hire has reported the highest single-week turnover in its 42-year history, marking a significant milestone for the Bradford-based transport and logistics recruitment franchise. Year-to-date turnover in the UK is up 7 percent, extending growth following what the company described as a record performance last year. Driver Hire said the latest figures represent one of the strongest sustained trading periods in its history.
The company’s Australian operations recorded even faster growth, with turnover rising 43 percent compared with the same period last year. In the UK, the Aberdeen branch achieved its own record week, while six additional offices also reported their highest local turnover levels.
Chief Executive Chris Chidley said the performance reflected the strength of the Driver Hire brand, which has been operating since 1983, as well as the efforts of franchisees and staff across both the UK and Australia. He said the company’s long-term focus on service and operational consistency had helped support growth across multiple regions.
