BODYBAR Pilates is preparing to open its 100th studio in North Fort Worth, Texas, marking a significant milestone in the growth of the reformer-based fitness franchise. Located in the Presidio area at 9573 Harmon Road, BODYBAR Pilates Fort Worth - Presidio is scheduled to open September 8, pending construction timelines. The opening brings the brand’s expansion story back to the Texas market where its franchise began.
The new studio is owned and operated by Shay Werkheiser, a first-time franchise owner who spent 18 years focused on raising her daughters before pursuing business ownership. Her connection with BODYBAR Pilates developed through her own experience as a member. The brand’s attentive approach, including noticing when she missed classes, helped shape her view of the company’s community-focused model and ultimately influenced her decision to become a franchisee.
BODYBAR Pilates plans to mark the opening with a series of community events, including a golf-focused Pilates class on August 15, the Glow Getter 10K on August 29 and a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 2. The 2,300-square-foot studio will feature 14 Allegro 2 Reformers, certified instructors and a boutique offering branded activewear and accessories.
The 100th studio comes after a strong development year for BODYBAR Pilates, which opened 21 locations in 2026 and has more than 21,000 active members nationwide. The company also has more than 70 studios in its development pipeline, with 30 expected to open by the end of the year and new markets planned in states including Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Hampshire and Tennessee.
As the network expands, maintaining strong relationships with members across individual locations becomes increasingly important. Gorilla Dash includes Reputation Management tools that can help franchise businesses monitor customer feedback, manage their online presence and identify opportunities to strengthen the customer experience. For a community-driven fitness brand, these capabilities can provide another way for growing franchise networks to remain attentive to the people they serve.
