BODYBAR Pilates marked a major milestone on September 13 by bringing 100 participants together on 100 reformers in Frisco, Texas, for what the company announced as the largest reformer Pilates class on record in the United States. The 50-minute class took place during BODYBAR’s annual conference at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star and celebrated two milestones at once: the centennial of Pilates and the opening of the brand’s 100th studio.
The event also carried a philanthropic purpose. BODYBAR contributed $10,000 to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer, with the donation representing $100 for each reformer used during the class. The contribution coincided with Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month and added a community-focused element to a celebration centered on the brand’s growth.
Kamille McCollum, BODYBAR’s chief brand officer, president and co-founder, led the class alongside instructors from across the franchise network. The event brought together franchise owners, instructors and invited media, giving the growing system an opportunity to celebrate its progress collectively. The 100th BODYBAR studio had opened just days earlier on September 8 in Presidio in North Fort Worth, the market where the Texas-founded franchise began.
The occasion also connected BODYBAR’s expansion with the longer history of Pilates. Joseph and Clara Pilates opened their first studio in New York City in 1926, and the Frisco gathering offered a modern franchise interpretation of a discipline that has continued to evolve over the past century. Balanced Body provided the 100 reformers, while McCollister’s, Pilabarre, FitRadio and TAVI contributed equipment, logistics, entertainment and participant items.
For a franchise system reaching a milestone of this scale, coordinating locations, teams and events can become increasingly complex. Gorilla Dash includes an Event Calendar that can help franchise teams organize important dates and activities across the network. The feature can provide a centralized way to keep franchise events visible as brands manage openings, conferences, community initiatives and other systemwide activities.
BODYBAR’s record-setting class ultimately served as more than a celebration of 100 studios. It brought franchise owners and instructors together around a shared milestone while connecting the brand’s growth with Pilates’ centennial and a charitable cause. For expanding franchise systems, that combination of operational coordination, community engagement and brand identity can turn a milestone into a broader story about where the business is headed.
