TruGolf Links Franchising has announced two planned financing initiatives built around tokenized securities, developed in partnership with Polymath. This Canadian technology company builds capital markets infrastructure for regulated digital securities. Both initiatives are tied to TruGolf's previously announced agreement to acquire Polymath, dated August 18, and are expected to advance once the acquisition closes, targeted for the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.
The first initiative is an equipment leasing plan aimed at qualified franchise candidates, giving them access to TruGolf's full suite of golf simulator products without requiring the full cost upfront. The plan would be funded through a tokenized offering issued on Polymath's platform. The second, still in earlier stages of development, would support qualified candidates in structuring their own offerings on the Polymath platform, giving outside investors a way to participate in fractional ownership of an individual TruGolf Links franchise.
Dr. Ben Litalien, Chief Development Officer for TruGolf Links Franchising, said financing has long been a persistent obstacle in franchising, and that Polymath's platform and technology give the brand a new way to address it. He described the leasing plan as a critical bridge for candidates working toward opening a TruGolf Links location, and said bringing fractional ownership, long done through traditional methods, into a tokenized structure represents a meaningful step forward for how franchise investment could work. Matt Andelman, Head of Business Development at Polymath, said he sees real potential in both initiatives to help TruGolf Links move more quickly into new markets by widening who is able to invest.
TruGolf Links offers individual franchise and regional developer opportunities for indoor golf simulator facilities, operating under parent company TruGolf Holdings, which also develops the underlying golf simulator software and hardware. News of the planned initiatives contributed to a rise in TruGolf Holdings' stock price following the announcement.
Introducing a financing model this different from a standard franchise loan means franchise candidates and their eventual investors will need clear, consistent visibility into how a location is actually performing before tokenized structures like these can gain real trust. Gorilla Dash offers a Financial Reporting feature designed to give franchise owners and their financial partners that kind of transparent, ongoing visibility into revenue and performance, the type of groundwork that new financing models generally depend on to succeed.
