Nicola, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, said he has seen firsthand the increasing need for reliable home-based care as more Americans reach retirement age. Industry analysts estimate that roughly 10,000 Baby Boomers turn 65 each day, a demographic trend that has become a major driver of the home care sector.
The new agency plans to offer a range of services, including companionship, personal care, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living activities. The owners said their goal is to help clients remain independent in their homes while improving overall quality of life. They emphasized that the business was built around a family-centered approach intended to strengthen trust with local residents.
Padilla said the transition into home care reflects a long-standing interest in entrepreneurship and community service. The leadership team believes Volusia County’s large retiree population and expanding healthcare needs make the market well suited for additional in-home care capacity.
