SYNERGY HomeCare has opened its first location in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, bringing its non-medical in-home care services to Boise and Eagle. Led by franchise owner Marissa Jones, a social worker with nearly a decade of experience serving at-risk members of her community, the new office is located at 198 South Cole Road in Boise.
Jones holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Arizona State University and has worked across social services, including case coordination, counseling and animal-assisted therapy. Her decision to enter home care was also shaped by her grandmother, who previously received companion care from SYNERGY HomeCare. Jones said seeing the relationship between her grandmother and her caregivers helped her understand the role home care could play in supporting independence and dignity at home.
The Boise office will provide a range of non-medical services, including companion care, personal care and respite care. Support can also cover everyday needs such as cooking, shopping, errands and light housekeeping, while personal care services can assist clients with activities including bathing, dressing and mobility. The launch comes as the Treasure Valley attracts an increasing number of older adults seeking to remain at home.
The new location is also building its caregiver team. SYNERGY HomeCare in Boise is seeking caregivers, with licensed certified nursing assistants preferred but not required. The company says training and certification will be provided to people entering the caregiving field, while flexible shifts are available for a range of prospective employees.
