Franchise partners Ratika Tyagi and Ranjan Bhasin bring Tony Gemignani’s pizza to Ellis Village Town Center on November 21

Slice House by Tony Gemignani will open its newest Northern California restaurant in Tracy on November 21, franchisee Ratika Tyagi said. The pizzeria is located at 2050 Ellis Town Drive, Suite 115, in Ellis Village Town Center, and brings the brand to San Joaquin County for the first time. The restaurant is expected to create approximately 25 full- and part-time jobs.
The location will be operated by Tyagi and her partner Ranjan Bhasin, longtime franchisees who also oversee Slice House restaurants in Livermore, Castro Valley, Walnut Creek, San Leandro, and Milpitas. Their experience across several nearby sites gives the Tracy opening a tested operating team, which is not always the case when a franchise enters a new market.
The menu centres on the pizza styles that Gemignani, a 13-time World Pizza Champion, has built his reputation on. Guests can order New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas by the slice or the whole pie, along with wings and salads, and the restaurant will offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian choices. The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating, takeout, online ordering, and delivery. Gemignani said that every new Slice House is a chance to introduce more people to his pizza styles, and that he is excited to “continue growing alongside partners who believe in what we’re building.”
Staffing a restaurant with about 25 employees means finding, screening, and training people before the doors open. The brand now has more than 140 locations open or in development across states including California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Idaho, and Tennessee, and Tracy is the latest stop on that route.
