Poolwerx has named Nic Brill as its first Global CEO, a move that marks a new era of unified leadership for one of the world’s largest pool and spa service franchises. The appointment brings together operations across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States under a single global framework, reflecting a strategic shift toward consistency and cohesion across markets. The announcement underscores Poolwerx’s growing ambitions to strengthen its international footprint while maintaining its commitment to franchisee success.
Brill joined Poolwerx in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and quickly made his mark, earning the role of CEO for Australia and New Zealand in 2022. During his tenure, the company reported record-breaking sales, profitability, and network expansion. His leadership has been credited with reinforcing Poolwerx’s reputation as a trusted brand partner for both franchisees and consumers, even amid shifting market conditions.
Sue Collyns, Chair of Poolwerx, described Brill’s appointment as a pivotal step in building a global structure capable of sustaining long-term growth. She said the board sought a leader who not only understood the brand’s legacy but could also chart its future. “The Board decided we need a leader who embodies the vision and agility necessary for a global enterprise,” Collyns said, adding that Brill’s proven ability to balance strategic oversight with operational insight made him the natural choice for the role.
In his new capacity, Brill plans to focus on empowering franchise partners through technology, training, and stronger cross-market collaboration. He emphasized that the company’s next phase of growth will center on providing a consistent experience for customers worldwide, while ensuring franchisees have the tools and support needed to thrive. “Our goal is to create a cohesive growth platform that amplifies what each of our regions already does best,” he said.
For Poolwerx, which has spent more than three decades expanding from a single operation into an international brand, the decision to appoint a Global CEO signals more than just an internal realignment. It highlights the brand’s readiness to compete on a larger stage, integrating its local expertise with global strategy. With Brill at the helm, the company is positioning itself for deeper international collaboration, stronger market influence, and a unified vision for the future of pool and spa services.
