New lease in Provo marks first Utah location with franchisee Tyson Adams leading the reimagined fast-food model

  • Konala signs lease for first Utah location in Provo.
  • Former Arby’s will be converted into a modern healthy kitchen.
  • Tyson Adams will operate the new location.

Konala is making a bold entrance into Provo, Utah, with plans to convert a former Arby’s into a healthy fast-food drive-thru by early 2026. The transformation is led by franchisee Tyson Adams, an experienced operator who previously managed Jersey Mike’s outlets and has hands-on experience working with Konala’s first franchise in Spokane. This expansion aligns with the brand’s broader strategy of repurposing underutilized drive-thru locations into efficient, health-forward kitchens.

According to Trace Miller, cofounder of Konala, the company is ready to seize the right sites as they become available. He explained that the model is not just about food but about revitalizing communities. “If the right space comes along, we will take underutilized drive-thrus and breathe new life into them,” Miller said. The new Provo site will operate without fryers, grills, or grease traps, instead serving fresh, macro-balanced meals to meet evolving consumer expectations.

Since its founding in 2023, siblings Trace and Jammie Miller have been on a mission to merge taste and nutrition in an accessible format. Konala’s menu emphasizes health without compromise, making use of technology and kitchen efficiency to deliver wholesome meals quickly. This strategy is particularly well suited to drive-thru layouts where traditional restaurant footprints may be constrained.

The Provo project is a tangible expression of how Konala views growth and impact. With Tyson Adams at the helm, the conversion signals confidence in both the market and the franchise model. If successful, the Provo location could validate Konala’s approach to adaptive reuse and position the brand for accelerated expansion in new and legacy markets alike.
