Mohamed Railey has left behind the corporate world to embark on a mission rooted in personal experience. After witnessing his aunt treated as just another number in the care system, he vowed to create a service that put people first. That mission has now taken shape with the launch of his Walfinch home care franchise in South Birmingham.
Walfinch, a national provider of in-home care, is known for its holistic “Time to Thrive” approach. The philosophy goes beyond meeting basic needs, encouraging clients to engage in activities that bring joy and purpose. From gardening to local exercise classes and arts and crafts, Walfinch’s Thrive Clubs aim to help clients maintain active, fulfilling lifestyles.
Railey brings with him a strong background in IT project management and community service. His previous achievements include raising funds for a £12 million mosque project, a testament to his ability to mobilize resources and foster local partnerships. These skills are already proving valuable as he builds connections with professionals in the South Birmingham area who can benefit from his services.
Amrit Dhaliwal, Walfinch’s founder and CEO, is mentoring Railey through the early stages of his franchising journey. Dhaliwal’s guidance is aimed at helping him deliver the high standards of care Walfinch is known for and achieve the coveted “Outstanding” rating from the Care Quality Commission.
With a clear vision and a supportive franchise network behind him, Railey is determined to make a tangible difference in his community. For South Birmingham residents, this means access to a home care service designed not just to meet needs, but to inspire and empower every individual it serves.
