Doner Shack, the rapidly growing Mediterranean quick-service restaurant brand known for its signature kebabs, chicken tenders, and loaded fries, has experienced explosive momentum in the U.S. during the first half of 2025. Since launching its expansion strategy earlier this year, the brand has awarded more than 60 franchise agreements across six states, reflecting strong demand for its modern and scalable kebab concept.
Leading the North American growth is Steele Advisory Group, headed by Founder and CEO Jason Steele. The group oversees Doner Shack’s development across the United States, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and parts of Europe. Steele projects that by the end of 2025, the brand will have signed between 75 to 80 agreements and established a presence in at least 10 U.S. states.
“There’s tremendous interest from both experienced multi-unit operators and new franchisees,” said Steele. “Once people try the product and see how the concept works, the commercial opportunity becomes very clear. It’s like getting in at the ground floor of Five Guys — but with even greater potential.”
Doner Shack was founded by award-winning chef Sanj Sanghera and brand strategist Laura Bruce. Every component of the menu — from the meats and breads to the house-made sauces — is developed using Sanghera’s original recipes. What sets the brand apart further is its use of advanced robotics: Doner Shack’s automated kebab machines minimize food waste to below 1.5% and ensure consistent, high-quality service. This tech-forward approach, combined with a highly streamlined operational model, makes the concept ideal for multi-unit scaling.
While international success — including a 150-unit agreement in India and talks underway in the Gulf region — has helped build momentum, the company’s primary focus remains on accelerating growth across the U.S. market. Recent domestic agreements include a three-unit deal in New Jersey and new locations in Dallas, Las Vegas, and Tallahassee.
To support franchisees, Doner Shack has developed a comprehensive system that includes training, site selection, mobile app integration, and local marketing activation. These tools are part of a broader effort to create a consistent brand experience and strong community engagement across all markets.
“Our focus is fully on U.S. expansion,” Steele added. “This is a rare opportunity to join a concept at an early stage with proven international backing, modern systems, and a product that really resonates with consumers. We’re currently awarding franchises in all 50 states and exploring additional international opportunities.”
With a strong brand identity, chef-led innovation, and a franchise model built for growth, Doner Shack is positioning itself as one of the most exciting emerging players in the QSR space.
