Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is expanding its position in the luxury hospitality market through a strategic partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, the global hotel representation platform behind Elegant Hotels of the World. Under the agreement, more than 40 independent luxury hotels from HotelREZ’s Elegant portfolio are expected to join Wyndham’s Registry Collection Hotels by early 2027, with additional properties potentially following. Participating owners will gain access to Wyndham’s sales, marketing and distribution channels while retaining control of their ownership, operations and individual hotel identities.
The partnership will also expand the options available to Wyndham Rewards members, who number approximately 129 million worldwide. Participating hotels will join the loyalty program, giving eligible guests opportunities to earn and redeem points on qualifying stays. The properties will remain members of Elegant Hotels of the World, preserving their connection to HotelREZ’s independent hotel collection. Many of the incoming hotels are boutique properties averaging between 20 and 50 rooms, making the expanded commercial network particularly relevant to smaller luxury operators.
Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership reflects the growing expectations of Wyndham Rewards members for distinctive stays tied to memorable experiences. He explained that the expanded collection will give members more opportunities to use their points at exceptional hotels and resorts in sought-after destinations. For independent owners, the arrangement offers access to a broader international audience without requiring them to give up their established identities.
Among the first properties joining Registry Collection are Rosselli AX Privilege in Valletta, Malta; The TownHouse Mykonos in Greece; Galgorm Resort near Belfast, Northern Ireland; TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao in Thailand; Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique in Cartagena, Colombia; and Roe Valley Resort in Northern Ireland. Rosselli AX Privilege occupies a restored 17th-century palazzo and holds three MICHELIN distinctions across the hotel and its restaurants. These additions will expand a Registry Collection portfolio that already includes more than 30 hotels across nine countries, with existing properties such as Balfour Miami Beach, Bristol Panama and Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua.
The agreement also establishes a separate technology opportunity for selected properties associated with HotelREZ’s Best Loved Hotels collection. Planned for later in 2026, the arrangement will give eligible independent hotels access to elements of Wyndham’s technology and third-party distribution capabilities, including Wyndham Connect and Wyndham AI Concierge. This offering is distinct from the Registry Collection expansion. HotelREZ Group Chief Executive Mark Lewis described the broader partnership as a way to unlock commercial opportunities for independent hotel owners by combining their established identities with Wyndham’s international reach.
For hospitality operators, the agreement underscores the importance of distribution, loyalty programs and technology in competing for international travelers. The Integrations feature available through Gorilla Dash can help franchise businesses connect their software platforms and coordinate workflows as their operations grow. Wyndham’s collaboration with HotelREZ demonstrates another route to expansion: connecting independent properties to a larger commercial network while allowing them to preserve the individual character that distinguishes their brands.
