Stan Kelley has taken ownership of The Human Bean drive-thru located at 275 East U.S. Highway 24 in Woodland Park, Colorado. The transition marks a new chapter for the location, which was previously owned by Holly Speer. Kelley, who already operates two successful branches in Colorado Springs at 3327 North Academy Boulevard and 2900 East Platte Avenue, joined The Human Bean network in 2021. With several years of operational experience, he brings a customer-focused approach and a deep commitment to community engagement.
Under Kelley’s leadership, the Woodland Park shop will continue offering The Human Bean’s signature menu of espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies, complete with the brand’s signature chocolate-covered espresso bean atop each cup. Kelley said his goal is to create a welcoming environment that reflects The Human Bean’s core values of kindness, consistency, and quality. He believes that small gestures of care, like a smile or a perfectly crafted coffee, can strengthen the connection between the brand and its customers.
Dan Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer of The Human Bean, expressed his confidence in Kelley’s leadership and praised franchise partners for their continued commitment to community service. Hawkins noted that many owners, including Kelley, go beyond running a business by organizing charity events and participating in local initiatives. He emphasized that the company’s philosophy is centered on being “a kind human bean,” a belief that guides both its service and its social responsibility programs.
The Woodland Park location will participate in The Human Bean’s nationwide charitable events, including the annual Coffee for a Cure fundraiser and Food Drive Giveback. These initiatives, held across all franchise locations, raise funds for cancer prevention, research, and treatment, as well as support local food banks and community partners. Kelley said he looks forward to involving the Woodland Park community in these efforts and helping expand their impact across the region.
Customers can explore The Human Bean’s full beverage menu and loyalty program through the company’s website or mobile app. Kelley invites both longtime fans and new visitors to stop by and experience the refreshed energy at Woodland Park. With its continued focus on quality and compassion, The Human Bean under Kelley’s direction aims to blend great coffee with genuine community care.
